Always Be a Good Girl

When I was a young girl
My mom taught me to always be nice.

Even if you are crying on the inside
Or bruised on the outside
Never let it show.

Even if he is touching you there
Or she is demeaning you here
Never let it show.

Even if you wanted the attention
Or the day was about you
Never let it show.

Because my mom taught me to always be nice
I will always be a hurt girl.
