Orbiting above
I see an entire existence below.
So unknown
I am speechless
Enamored
So, I allow myself to catapult off the diving board
And I fall
Further down I go, until,
I hit the water.
Under the surface I gasp for air
And allow it to fill my lungs.
It is then I realize, I am not human
As this is the only place it seems I can breathe.
The rip tide
Is dragging me further under
There is no fear.
This is peace.
The rest of the universe is muffled
And I can finally hear my own breath.
What a feat,
To be able to breathe under water.
