Create A Life of Your Wildest Dreams with Gratitude

Every year around the holidays and especially Thanksgiving, the word gratitude gets thrown around very generously.  How many times do we see “give thanks” or “grateful” come out in decor, seasonal items, marketing and more? While the end of the year it a great time to tap into its power, a year-long practice can have a magical effect on your mindset and manifestations.

Newton’s law states that everything has an equal and opposite reaction. Put it within the context of gratitude and here’s its ultimate power: the more you give…the more you receive. It’s as simple as that: The more you can cultivate a deep and sincere practice of being grateful, the more you can align yourself to receive amazing things in your lifetime.

This Concept is Not New

While gratitude has become a buzzword with the mindfulness trend, it is actually an ancient concept and the core belief of many spiritual leaders:

Buddha said that you have no cause for anything but gratitude and joy.

Jesus said “thank you” before he performed each miracle.

Muhammad said that gratitude for the abundance you’ve received is the best insurance that the abundance will continue.

Lao Tzu said that if you rejoice in the way things are, the whole world will belong to you.

Even Albert Einstein thanked other people over a hundred times a day for the work they had done.

As soon as we can remove the ego and stop focusing on what we don’t have, the more blessings we can create through focusing on all that we do.

Start and End Your Day with Gratitude

If you have yet to make giving thanks a ritual, starting and ending your day with gratitude can have a magical effect on your manifestations.

Start your day by writing at least three things (ten would be ideal) that you are grateful for and why. After you’re done, go back through your list, read it out loud, feel it deeply and say, “thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Before you go to sleep, think of the thing you were most grateful for that day. Wayne Dyer reminds us that the 5-minutes before we fall asleep is when we are closest to our subconscious. If we are using this time to give thanks, imagine how much we can amplify its power!
