On this episode of Enlightenedhood, Founder of Pure Minds and Co-Author of the best-selling book, Let That Sh*t Go shares her amazing journey to becoming a mindfulness advocate.

Nina found spirituality in her teens as a way to process a family tragedy. As she became an adult, she felt the call back despite thriving in the corporate world. In 2010, she decided to sell her house and spend a year in Northern California completely unplugged learning about Eastern Philosophy.

This time forced her to face her past and come to terms with how much she had allowed herself to stay distracted to avoid healing.

As she made her way back into the real world a year later, Nina wanted to share the amazing gifts she learned with the world but didn’t find it practical.

Yet, with the Universe still calling, Nina’s pregnancy and facing another loss forced her to step up into her highest self and show up authentically for herself and her daughter. She then started hosting workshops and dipping her toes in, before deciding not to return after her maternity leave was over.

Nina shares how we can add mindfulness to our everyday lives without it being overwhelming, the biggest misconceptions about mindfulness and meditation, and why half the battle of mindfulness is breathing.

She also shares some amazing scientific benefits of meditation and how it changes your brain and why it is so important.

Nina Purewal faced an unexpected childhood tragedy which inspired her mindfulness and meditation journey twenty years ago. After climbing the corporate ladder for nearly a decade, she took a year sabbatical and moved to California to unplug and continue her pursuit for happiness.

It’s been her greatest passion to help others find calm amidst the chaos. With that, she founded Pure Minds a company that conducts mindfulness and meditation workshops for the public and corporate sector. She is also an advocate of leaning into mindfulness solutions for children.
